Would presumably cost the train operators a lot of money

given the mark-up you pay for beerage on trains.

Woudl seem a shame. Although a month or two ago I did get a morning train with my kids, and we ended up sat next to a tableful of woman going down to TL on a weekend away. They hit the wine and bubbly immediately, and by half-way thu the journey were really f*ckign annoying (and incredibly foul-mouthed...).
