Does it have to be about achieving something?

At this moment in time I think I'd find it difficult to watch a game of football knowing how many people had died and been so horribly mistreated just to build the bloody stadium.

Plus surely it would have an impact? Should viewing figures drop, ad revenue for future WC's will drop, TV companies would bid less for the rights off the back of a reduced audience.
