When we were kids, my brother and I - both football/stats obsessives - noted something

Title-winning sides often suffer one thrashing at some point during a season: as though they get it all out of their systems on one day. Ours, of course, was at Middlesbrough. Perversely, because we've only suffered that one thrashing, that makes me MORE confident we'll end up as Champions, not less.

Which is completely ridiculous, I know.
