Ha! The only thing different about England today, proth my dear old thing

Was the identity of the opponents. We were still awful; we still look like we're trying to play Test cricket; we're just so incredibly grey.

I dunno if you can remember the '96 WC, but we're playing now like we were then if you ask me. Mediocre, uninspired, colourless cricket. That comment I made was at a time we'd started blocking out a powerplay - against Scotland for heavens' sake!

Any decent side will have us for breakfast, and two already have. The level of improvement required to even have a puncher's chance in a quarter-final is, I fear, well beyond us. But where there's life... etc etc etc.
