Much as I love cricket - the format for this world cup is hilarious

We have four games left in our group - v Bangladesh, UAE, Scotland and Sri Lanka. Win three and we're almost certainly in the quarter-finals.

Thus, desspite the fact that we are light years beehind the better nations and the competition is entirely dead to us now, there is every chance we won't actually get knocked out until March 21st - the date of the last QF which we may well be playing in.

Now that is purgatory.
