unfortunately we British have an international reputation as racists

Since I've been abroad, the number of times I've had to defend myself and my countryman from accusations that "you hate foreigners in Britain" is frankly unreal, and this in a country where the word "black" is usually preceded by the word "f**king".

The onus is on us to shake that image by being hard on scum like that
