My old man used to make them in the Rowntree Macintoshes in Nodge. Apparently

back in the day, they used to be made with toffee so hard a misaligned rolo on the conveyor belt could knock the machinery out of kilter. I would prefer those, I think, to the soft s**te they're filled with now
