I woke up that morning an hour's drive from Rome airport

Mate's wedding the night before, had to buy a 2nd flight to get me back in time for the game, leaving my wife in Italy to come back on her own on the flight we'd originally booked. Took a loooooooong time to persuade her to give me her approval for this plan, and I got grief for it for ages before and after. Cab to airport, flight to Heathrow, train to Paddington, train to Cardiff which was delayed en route, missed the first 15 mins of the game.

Worth all the money and hassle for the sight of so many Norwich fans in one place, and for the few minutes we were 1-0 up!
