the results haven't really changed much

they were scrapping about near the bottom three virtually all of last season and the season before too.

They're just getting similar results with even less goals scored now (plus there's now the cumulative effect of playing rather ineffective negative dull football for 2.5 whole years that has pushed even Lerner over the edge)
