He has one simple rule which he adheres to at all times:

Must protect my players. MUST PROTECT MY PLAYERS.

And he also recognises something which we ought all to recognise, but generally forget. All over the world, football is nothing more and nothing less than one great big pantomime.

With pantomime heroes, pantomime villains, and a cast of characters who all need each other. Players, managers, fans, journalists, referees... all a part of football's great circus.
