From the mock outrage when he loses to the mock humility when he shakes another manager's hand to the hilarious comedy of him claiming the whole world is against him when managing several of the wealthiest clubs on the planet, it's ALL an act. And it only works because folk (including, incredibly, other managers) still rise to it all the time.
