It's far to early to be posting this but....
A game that really summed up why we are where we are in the table and not sitting pretty with the extra 15 or so points we could have had if games were decided on the balance of play.
For an hour I thought we were very good. We looked a class apart from a very poor Charlton and really should have been four or five up. Johnson could have had a hat tick. Grabban was excellent, Hooper classy and our pressing worked a treat although the lack of balance with no left winger was in my view quite obvious. Howson took his goal well and played well. I still would prefer Wes to start but fair play to him.
And then for 10 minutes or so the old demons returned and I thought we had f**ked it up. And this would have been one if the worst f**k ups of the whole season given how comfortable we had been. Two moments of giving the ball away and the midfield and defence getting caught out of shape. Two goals. Shocking and for me terrible complacency.
Thankfully we have class on the bench and can unleash the likes of Jerome to save ourselves. A good three points in the end but way more nervy and close than it should have been. This team is still not the well oiled machine it should be. Hopefully Neil can sort it out but the complacency is deep rooted amongst some.
