Worthy did f**kall at Blackpool and managed to land this job and did really well for teh first 4 years!

So many managers get jobs because of reputations as players and past glories rather than managerial ability. Souness, Platt, Reid, Wilkinson etc. Where young and up and coming managers are ignored in favour of these has beens as they are a "big name".

Oh and one more thing "Martin O Neil" No top flight experience when we snatched him from Wycombe.

I fear you arguing for the sake of it. I dont think you really want Worthy in or agree with what you are posting, you are just posting it to provoke a reaction
