Some clubs never change no matter who is in charge, no matter what the era

Birmingham City have been boring as f**k for as long as I can remember.

In 2009/10, their highest league finish in generations, they somehow ended up 9th while scoring just 38 goals in 38 games. They'd been promoted the previous season - automatically! - having scored just 54 goals in 46 games. They scored only 28 times when relegated in 2005/6 too.

I can't remember ever seeing a Birmingham side which made me think: "This lot are quality. They'll take some stopping". Instead, all I ever see is a physical, direct, joyless... even life-denying football team.

Their fans - a typically charmless lot after Cardiff 2002 - can get to f**k as well.
