If you look at all the t20 competitions around the world the franchise system is clearly better (counties now seem to finally be coming round to the idea)

The worlds best players are more likely to play if all the games are over a much shorter period of time. Rather than play every friday night for about 4 months.

Slog a thon for has beens? Didn't see too many players who weren't up to the job.
