Neil Adams had no record. We also immediately got worse the moment he got the caretaker's job. He was a clear downgrade (even double downgrade) on his very unpopular predecessor.
There was nothing to believe in in Adams' case. Alex Neil, by contrast, has a good record and, in Scotland, a fantastic reputation. He's an upgrade.
