we played two in central midfield against their three; Whittaker and Johnson were completely over-run which also kept forcing the back four out of position.
Also none of the attacker players looked to come short and collect the ball, so we had to just hoof it wide to Lafferty.
With another body in central midfield - Hoolahan or Bennett - it would have helped us to close down the passing angles for Brentford much better, and also to maintain possession much more easily.
Then we could have got the forwards in the game more. There was basically no cohesion between the defensive, midfield and attack - it was like three completely separate groups all working independently.
