It all comes down to this

In his loan spell he has displayed all the quality's of Francis at Fulham. I think people (me included) are questioning why we should sign a player permanently when they haven't shown themselves to be a great deal better than what we already had.

Doherty has come good but only after losing weight, being played in his correct position and being given a run at a lower level. If by some miracle went up again I don't think he'd cut it
