True story - Baron de Hoghton (of Hoghton Tower, Lancs) planted

kin hundreds of new trees on his land but they were badly attacked by deer. He read somewhere that Lion s**t keeps them off so he sent his "man" to Blackpool zoo to get a load and spread it around the land. It bordered my mates dairy farm that he leases off of The Baron.
Result - deer didn't give a toss and carried on eating his trees, my mates cows freaked out, Baron had to spend thousands on deer fencing
