Big Train was on BBC 2 on a thursday night some time in the late 90's. It had 2 series, and was funny

It ceased after series 2 mainly because there were about 50 comedians involved in the writing, and it wasn't worth their while to be paid pittance to created amazing comedy as a collective

The success of Big Train allowed those 50 comedians to disband off into other projects with smaller pools of writers, and they made their fame shoot offs from Big Train

It's only Youtube that shows people what was missed from those who didn't see Big Train. Jam being another. Spaced also had cult fame years after it was on tv

That's why you've never heard of it, because it was low key at the time, and holds moderate popularlity afterwards
