but don't agree with him when he says it doesn't include people from different backgrounds and isn't diverse enough? The music industry is fantastically diverse with people of all ages and backgrounds being successful in the UK.

its probably the most diverse industry going. Current UK top ten:

Mark Ronson - jewish immigrant mother and father, went to private school in USA

Phillip George - young upcoming Nottingham talent

Hozier - Irish musician - dropped out of Uni to record

Olly Murs - lived with his mum in Witham in Essex as couldn't afford to move out until made famous

Ed Sheeran - busked on the streets, state school educated

Taylor Swift - American singer grew up in pensylvania before moving at 14 to follow her dream of country singing


Alesso - half Italian half Swedish only just made it onto the UK scene

Ben Haenow - british xfactor winner, state school educated

Tchami - French DJ who made his name in Africa

Sam Smith - british, state school educated
