FAO: Excel pendants, help me out please

I want to get a count of text "yes"s in two different columns (Sheet 2, Columns A and B) if the date in Sheet 2 column C matches the one in sheet 1 cell A1.

I'm sure I need some sums and countifs in there, but I'm not coming up with the magical formula, as it were.

Help me out please!
