I'm not sure it's supporters impatience as such, but more so expectations each season

We've come from 3 seasons of Prem football, so I think fans, quite rightly expect us to be challenging at the top end (top 6 minimum). If it's not going to plan, fans expect decisions to made to change the curve.

With Worthington at the beginning, expectations were a lot lower as he had taken over a struggling side, battling relegation.

Even Clough at Leeds didn't get much time because expectations were so high. So I'm not sure it's a modern day thing, although social media doesn't help in this regard.
