Howson sending off

Just watched the highlights on that there youtube and I can't for the life of me see what the ref thought Howson did to merit a red card. Wasn't high, wasn't late, wasn't two footed, won the ball very cleanly. Was a strong physical challenge, but he hardly went flying in out of control.

Bit bizarre really.

Anyone know if we've appealed?
