It's back! This is the place to go for all the latest transfer developments as they happen.
Norwich City have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Dickson Etuhu, just 24 hours after the on-loan star attracted criticism for a leg-breaking challenge on Preston team-mate Adam Nowland.
Etuhu arrived at Carrow Road on loan in November, and, as anticipated, has now made his switch from North End permanent by signing a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The Canaries have purchased the Nigerian-born 23-year-old for an initial fee of ?450,000, potentially rising to ?550,000, and Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has voiced his delight at capturing the former Everton target.
"He's a very useful acquisition at a very reasonable price when you consider he came very, very close to joining Everton at the start of the season for nearer ?1 million," Worthington told the club's official website.
Etuhu's challenge in the Championship clash on Monday saw Preston midfielder Nowland ruled out for the rest of the season, but the new Norwich capture says he is keen to focus on developing his career at Carrow Road.
"I'm very pleased this has gone through. Now I just want to get on with playing football for Norwich City," said Etuhu.
"I'm still getting my fitness back and getting used to the way my new team-mates play.
"But I'm sure it's the right move and I'm looking forward to working full-time under Nigel Worthington."
