I felt so sorry for that scientist in the fruity shirt. Poor chap

Also yesterday on SSN as I was waiting for our goals to be shown, Jeff said something like 'I just want to clarify that when Charlie said he couldn't identify which of the two strikers it was, no racial undertone was meant there'. I thought then, that's crazy! I often miss who has scored and attribute it to the wrong player. It's nothing to do with their colour but it's the speed of the game, the huddle around the goal, missing their number etc.

It's such a fine line. Generally I'm pleased we now think carefully about what we say and can't get away with spouting casual racist of sexist remarks but I hate the needless persecuting of people who have genuinely made a mistake.
