Peter Grant ranted, raved and spoke in cliches; Bryan Gunn mumbled and sent everyone to sleep; Chris Hughton employed the corporate monotone; there was a carefully thought out point to everything Paul Lambert said. His grasp of psychology was magnificent.
And Neil? Fluent, unflappable, relaxed, and a definite presence about him on this evidence.
