I think the most bizarre issue of the new appointment is

why they appointed Phelan. Seems that left hand not quite certain what the right is doing. Just can't see Phelan staying at the Club unless he always knew that he would be at best a number two. Hope McNally knows what he's doing because at present he doesn't seem to be justifying the high bonus paid to him.
