Dickson Etuhu protest thread

It now seems you can come in on loan then massively under perform to recieve a Norwich City contract (I wonder how Paul McVeigh and Rossi Jarvis must feel?)
We have not signed him yet, and I feel all fans should use this thread to let the club know their feelings. For my part this would be a stupid desperate signing and I feel we should look elsewhere for cover. I believe Etuhu to be every bit as bad as Jarrett, who can at least pass the ball.
My verdict: DON'T SIGN HIM
Nigel - Leave now while you have some measure of dignity, before you are forced ...

Good call - surely someone in authority at the club must see that after the luxury of assessing him whilst on loan he is a complete waste of money.

Dont sign him. Its not difficult (tose in charge take note). we recognise that nigel worthington is not capable of recognising the attributes needed for a quality midfielder. They are able to pass, hardworking able to tackle, capable of shooting. Not huff puff huff puff (see Hughes, Jarrett, ETC ETC) or built like a brick outhouse with no other ability.
Why are the club no longer listening to us???

The beauty of having him on loan is that we have seen that he is untalented, unmotivated, and a lightweight. There can be no excuse for signing a player who would struggle in a pub team. Send him back now.

According to Window Fitter Mike (PNE fan) it is too late, he reckons that an officlial text alert has already gone out stating that the deal is done and it will cost us a total of ?550,000 if the whole potential of the player is realised - i.e. it is a deal with rising costs possible based on promotion or performances.
From what I have seen, PNE should be paying us to keep him if it is based on his performances.
Seen Window Fitters GUTTED PRESTON FAN thread for details - such as they are at this stage.
There is no news on either the Official NCFC or PNE boards at present. What a great first new signing of the new year this is gonna be - put your crash helmet on Worthy - incoming abuse heading your way pronto!

The spin was already spun in the programme feature on him yesterday:
"There's a lot more to come from me"
"Had a bad time at horrid Preston"
"Can't be easy living out of an hotel"
"Great chap to have in the dressing room"
BLAH. BLAH. BLAH.

Unbelievable ... he didn't have the TESTICLES to try and play for a contract... because he didn't have too.. the worthless one made it clear he was going to be signed anyways as soon as he got the loan deal..
If ever a player has had an easy ride this guy has...
thats another half a mill wasted...Hughes the first

He's a complete waste of money. Simple as.
We offer him a contract, after many rubbish performances. and as you say McVeigh doesn't get a new contract and he's been performing 200 times better than Etuhu.

Offering a contract to Dickson Etuhu and not Paul McVeigh just about sums up how much of a *** manager Nigel Worthington really is.

Etuhu is an awful player. If Worthington signs him it would be a complete waste of time. He made more passes to Preston players than Norwich players. Bring back Jarrett save 500,000 andhave a better player

I agree with all of the above
I couldn't believe how much time he spent ball-watching yesterday - he was as bad as Jarrett for not chasing back/getting involved.
Please can we sign someone else? Pretty please?

I'm sure that the Etuhu deal was done and dusted when we signed him on loan but he has done nothing to convince me that he is worth a contract.
He seems to encapsulate the worst of Damien Francis. Similar attitude but without the skills.

Come on people, let's not lose perspective here: just because Etuhu is a ball-watching clown in a thugsuit, doesn't justify calls for Gentle Jason to be forgiven...
Personally, I think Worthington is on a personal mission at the moment, having set himself the challenge 'how many cretinous, perenially injured, untalented, workshy sloths can I sign in one season?'. I think he's excelled himself thus far: Etoohoo, Andy Clapalot, Carl Wobinson, Uncle Thorne, Louis Jean [what was the point?], (one game wonder)Marney, Lisbie, David [utterly pointless]Wright and the abortionate JJ = 9... Not even Worthy's hero Mr Hamilton managed that many!
