Yeah.... And new years eve....

Worst was the xmas day one- 19yrs old based in germany On live armed guard - 4 minute call out. The entire accom block was empty as everyone had gone home so it was very erie and lonely.... Couldnt even leave base to visit colleagues and friends off base in married quarters..... Horrible day alone.

The new years eve one was a 24hr duty - 8am new years eve through to 8am new years day - stuck in the middle of an air field at Brize Norton with just my stokie mate. We got the work and site checks done by 10am then settled down to hours and hours of videos, his sega game system etc - i cooked a chilli and we snuck in a few beers for midnight.... Standing on the airfield near midnight you could see each village in every direction letting off fireworks, having parties etc.....
