He now has the right to return to play his part in society and ironically could offer more of a lesson as a convicted 'rapist' than most other people.
We'll never know for certain whether he did it or not, but even if his lesson to others is not putting yourself into that position in the first place, then there has to be value in that.
Brief encounters involving excess alcohol are surely a bad idea whether it ends up in an allegation of rape or not.
A valuable lesson to many I would argue?
