Is Hooper playing as a centre forward?

I watched the game on an enormous screen yesterday and whilst his touch is returning he very often seems to be playing the role of provider to... no-one.
Lost count of the number of balls played into their box yesterday which were crying out for someone to 'take a chance'.
He would still be in my starting eleven as things stand but if the Grabban shot had gone in at the end I would be having second or possibly third thoughts on the matter.
Lafferty would seem like a real luxury on the bench at the moment and I'd be really disappointed if Murphy isn't given another chance again next time we are chasing a game.
