As been said many times, it's tricky. Most convicted criminals

Do not lose their profession and their future.
BUT many do, I as a doctor certainly would for a far lesser crime.
The nature of the conviction matters too.

Why not just bugger off abroad and play for a bit? Far East, Russia etc
