You won't look back, I promise. It gets less daunting with practise. However, it is still very easy to get a bit too brave and end up with a face like a bloody rag.

Advice : pay a little bit extra for Merkur blades. They're a bit dearer, but a pack of ten is still a fraction of the price of a Gillette Mach 18, and they're much sharper and keep their edge for much longer.
