... but from what I remember of contemporary interviews they were keen to emphasise that they were not Nazi sympathisers.

They were part of a movement called New Slovenian Art (NSK in German) that was deliberately confrontational. Indeed one of their fellow groups was famously banned from the Edinburgh festival for a show where audience members were buried up to their necks under the stage and they then lit fires round them! Now that would have been a scary gig!!
