So anyway, I've been listening a bit to the This American Life podcast, having got there

from Serial, and it's really good.

Currently half way through a two-parter about a high school in a particularly violent part of Chicago - Harper High. In one year (I think 2012) they had 29 kids shot - eight of those fatally. Mostly in gang-fued related nonsense.

Last weeks episode about the ATF being absolutely bizarre as f**k was good too.

Recommended. It actually reminds me a bit, just in terms of the varied subject matter, of Alastair Cooke's Letter From America, although it has many contributors and is much longer (an hour).
