tech help

my laptop at home. Aaaargh. Dunno if mousepad is supersensitive or something, but when you try and type *anything*, at some point cursor leaps to somewhere else.

Drives me and the entire family mad, and makes everything take soooo long. (Yep, cursor just leapt to the para up there ^^^^ cos my palm must have just brushed soooo lightly.)

Anyone know of anything I can do?
