With Owen out injured for the large part of the remaining season, and Shearer in his last season, I suspect that Newcastle will be in for Ashton? But do they have any money left?? I don't think we will accept less than ?7.5 million.

And a message to the home fans on Monday; get behind the players no matter what, since it was apparent today that they are absolutely knackered. Unlike most clubs, we have not been able to rest players over these four games, and the eleven taking the field on Monday will clearly be exhausted. Some real noise from Carrow Road might just help them - another win and we really are rolling. We then have a two week break (I am ignoring the West Ham game!), before a winnable game against Plymouth.

Am I alone in not giving a monkeys about the West Ham game? I would play the youth side!! At the very least, give the likes of Rossi Jarvis, Brennan and Henderson a full game?
