Seen the first two episodes of the first series, and they're alright.

A lad I work with, who loves the UK original says the US version is brilliant. I think, but it was a while ago, so I may be misremembering, I think he said the first series of the US version is basically the same story as the UK version, but after that it goes off in its own direction.
