I think you'll love the Science Museum if you have never been there before

stay away from zoos for all sorts of reasons. Natural History Museum also pretty good but too much to do both museums in one day. If you have time maybe do something in the night like a film, concert or comedy gig...etc... This time of year outside the NHM they have a pretty ice skating rink if you or your friend like that sort of thing.
