"Playing the Norwich way" was defined in the presentation as

Playing attacking football, playing football always with the intention of winning".

Having to know the club was not a prerequisite - you have added that. The football under Chris Hughton was criticised by many and the board made reference to some supporters stating football under CH was negative, not entertaining and often damage limitations in its style.

Why Phelan now? That was answered in some detail - there was careful usr of words regarding the dismissing of the coach - along the lines of everyone had to be pulling in the same direction, it was identified that that wasn't the case and Adams made the decision to change personnel. The football committee (can't remember the exact title) which included Adams tgen went through a process to identify the type of person they wanted. Three people were identified through that - Phelan being their number one choice.
