your email raises a number of interesting points - but i am not at all clear what you mean by your concern that "greed wins the day". We do not pay dividends, so all money that comes in from any source, goes towards running the Club

in the meantime, i wholly disagree with your comment that the Club should say that a particular player is "not for sale". To say this would be to mislead fans - as every player is for sale at the right price and, as we know, once a player decides he wishes to be elsewhere, clubs have little alternative but to be pragmatic.

to say that a player is not for sale is not correct, is misleading and does absolutely nothing to deter clubs who may be interested in buying him.
