Is this a bit rum?

My mother childminds my under school-age nephews at least 3 days a week. She does stuff with them at weekends too. She picks them up from their house, goes to Dinosaur Parks and all sorts.

My son? Not so much interest. She invites us to her house every other Sunday afternoon. When I politely suggested she might on occasion pop to our house for a cuppa and to play with the child (just play, not care for him whilst I go to work or build a wicker man) as its not always convenient to get to her house, she flew into the most furious rage, poured out all manner of incredibly bent up petty grudges she's held in the 9 months since my child was born, and concluded by informing me she thinks my wife is a t**t.

She is not a t**t.

How do I proceed with this one wrathologists?
