Had similar situation...

...Get involved. Mum is a good 'un and will help regardless of health, situation, etc. Nothing was too much trouble... It was getting to Dad too as he saw less of his wife than when he worked! Was a bit blunt in the end and tbf my sis was unaware of the liberties she was taking - became the norm. I do get on well with my sister (no Norfolk jokes, please!), so was able to make my point with no fall out. Hope this helps!
