and some parts can drag a *little* or are essentially cul-de-sacs which are presented for dramatic effect (Mr S).

However, I'm not expecting a resolution... are you? I'm just completely hooked by the exploration of the criminal justice system, the psychology, the treatise on memory, friendship, forgiveness, treachery etc etc. It's beautifully told and edited.

it is NOT a whodunnit in the conventional sense and as long as people leave that perception at the door then they can't be disappointed.
