The Football Combination was a good league

all-aged and good young players came through, rather than having a whole load of U21s who are never going to be good enough to be first team players.

The young players benefit far more by playing alongside older players, those recovering form or fitness or on the fringes of the squad like Gossy was for so long.

This whole U21s thing is a nonsense.
