1. Who they appoint

2. The players they sign

3. The way they play at all levels of the club

And they've been doing that for almost a decade now.

I don't look at Southampton as a model because they've spent plenty in recent years and had a benefactor. Swansea's whole approach is like nothing else any other British club comes near - and as a result, they're very profitable too, so can keep re-investing and renewing.
