Taking the result out of the equation, what did everyone think of our performance today?

I see Neil Adams saying we played well, but I simply didn't see that.

I thought we started poorly, scored against the run of play, then looked decent for the next 20 mins ish, without creating anything.

In the second half I thought we looked really sluggish and lacked energy. We seemed to just be doing enough to stay ahead but nothing more and again, created pretty much nothing at all.

I appreciate we set up to be solid, and largely we were, but we had zero attacking outlet. We don't move the ball around quickly enough in midfield in particular and we don't have much of a counter attacking threat, which surely is essential when otherwise packing the midfield with defensive players?

I would have been disappointed with our performance in the second half even if we'd hung on and won.

We've simply got to up the tempo and intensity.

Or did everyone else see something different?
