Something weird happened in the summer

I don't think Adams was first choice. The way his appointment happened very suddenly after a long delay (which itself followed McNally's rash promise of a quick appointment) was weird as was giving him a longer contract than we've given more established managers in the past.

I believe Adams was always the fallback plan, certainly for some board members. Something happened (maybe we were tipped off about Malky?) that prompted his sudden appointment and the whole sage also seemed very out of character for McNally at the time as well. The "scoured Europe" crap is just the kind of patronising propaganda crap the club comes out with these days and thinks the fans will swallow.
