why would the board sack him now?

we're seventh in the table with an average of about 1.6 points per game.

I, like most fans, was slightly underwhelmed by the appointment of Adams, but he's made an average start - you don't sack a manager after 3 months unless he's been absolutely terrible.

If the board thought he was the correct appointment in the summer, then I doubt very much they will be considering otherwise now.
